J&R CYCLE is a locally owned and expanding powersports dealership in Stayner, ON who (among many things) specialize in Motorcycle, ATV/SXS and snowmobile sales, service and repair. Family owned and operated since 1979 we are looking to expand our team with a friendly, motivated, reliable and skilled individual to immediately join our team during this busy season. We are looking to fill a Full-time position of Powersports Technician / Mechanic in our Service Department. Looking for an individual who can work un-supervised, but great with oral and written communication; Someone with keen attention to detail who takes pride in the jobs they complete. Someone who has fun taking on interesting and challenging projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- PDI – Motorcycles, ATV’s, SxS’s and Snowmobiles
- Diagnostic and repair issues
- Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance
- Routine scheduled maintenance services
- Reading and understanding service data and wiring diagrams
- Filling out work orders with cause and solution information
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Motorcycle Mechanic Trade Certification ( 310G License )
- Valid G and M Driver’s License
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Strong mechanical knowledge / experience
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Maintain a high level of accuracy
- Must provide own toolbox and hand-tools specific to the trade while J&R CYCLE does supply some specialty tools
WORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:
- Handling heavy loads
- Physically demanding
- Manual dexterity
- Attention to detail
- Hand-eye co-ordination
- Ability to distinguish between colours
- Bending, crouching, kneeling Your schedule will be determined based on our business hours.
Please note, you can be scheduled prior to our opening time for regular duties. There may also be circumstances for business needs where you are scheduled outside of our regular business hours for various reasons (ex. special projects, meetings or inventory).
